A series of walks in ancient Viking dwelling sites in the Shetland Islands group, in which hentilagets are documented, collected, and then repurposed through traditional spinning and weaving, into rugs reflecting the landscape of which they came.
Hentilaget. n. Also hentilag(it), -ed; hentin la(a)g. A tuft of wool fallen or torn from a sheep’s back which is gathered from the pasture or the hillside (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), hentilaged, hentilag(et), 1914 Angus Gl., hentin lag, Shetland Dictionary. 1957). "Henty Laggys" - early 20th century child slang.
